Thank you so much for embarking on a fic for me! I'm still getting a hang of exchanges but I've been having a blast and have really been looking forward to this exchange in particular. My prompts are shorter this time 'round, but hopefully my likes list will be able to encourage and generate some more story ideas.
The main thing that will draw me into your story are the characters and prose. I love literary devices like metaphors, symbolism, or imagery. The little details in a fic sell me the most.
At the end of the day, if you enjoyed what you wrote, that is what matters most to me. I truly feel that when a person enjoys what they’re writing, it shines through in their fic. I have a lot of ideas of what I will like and I’m pretty easy to please.

Favorite lyrics: Every moment leads toward its own sad end
Can we talk about the imagery of this song for a second? Okay. Because I am in utter love with it. I have been in a swashbuckling mood lately and this song just feeds into it even more! The singer’s mentioning coming home and painting all this imagery of him walking through the city but I feel like we’re not getting the whole story. Is the blood metaphorical, or does this mans literally have blood in his mouth? If so, from what? Who is he coming home to? Why is he so determined to come home?
I feel like there’s great potential for world building in this fic alongside fleshing out this singer’s life and his past. I imagine he’s coming home to a lover but it’s obviously left up to your interpretation. Is it someone from his past or someone he visits every day, like on his way home from work? I’m really curious to know how significant it really is that he’s coming home in the story.

Favorite lyrics: Today, of all days, see / How the most dangerous thing is to love / How you will heal and you’ll rise above
I’m pretty ignorant to Greek mythology, but I would adore a fic centered around any original myths with him, or myths integrated into a (possibly more modern?) story! I would love anything from adventurous, romantic, angsty, etc. How did Achilles get so high up in the first place? Why is he refusing to come down? Is this all metaphorical (as I assume it is), or literal? (Which would be quite funny, honestly. Or terrifying, depending on your take.)

Favorite lyrics: You took my broken melody / And now I hear a symphony
I absolutely adore this song!! It reminds me of a lot of those “doesn’t see color until they find their soulmate” premises. Meeting the right person is like advancing from a little song to a full symphony. I think this song — and potential fic — would be great fodder for a whole love letter to the person whose presence lights up the singer’s life.
What is it about that person that’s so great, anyway? What are their imperfections, the quirks, the things that make the singer go, “Oh yeah, I’m in love with you”?

Favorite lyrics: I need to let go and I swear that I’ve tried
This song is extremely relatable yet sad, and I like the gentle, sad tone. I love its message— the resigned sadness of someone who knows it won’t work out (because they won’t even give it a shot!). It really taps into the present-day, especially with everything going on after you-know-what upturned everybody’s lives in 2020.
I’d love to hear more about the emotionally constipated singer and if she ever manages to open up and confess her feelings. How would a confession go, or does she manage to come to terms with her feelings and overcome them?
The Escape - Aoi Teshima (Song)
Favorite lyrics (translated into English): Blow a whistle when you’re feeling happy / No matter how painful, let’s continue singing
A beautiful song for a beautiful movie. Every time I listen to this song, I imagine long summer days with the cicadas chirping and a bunch of kids having fun on their school-free days. I also think about a lot of Ghibli movies and the life of students studying in Japan. I definitely feel like anime has romanticized it for me, what with the neat uniforms, beautiful nature, and walks to school each morning, etc.
I would adore a fic that just squeezed out the essence of this song— freedom, youth, maybe a little recklessness. And it wouldn’t be Ghibli without magic, explorations in nature, or strong female protagonists.
I also would really love a deeper dive into Japanese culture. I’m a sucker for world building (would a real place count for that?) and think it would be so cool to learn more about that culture or get to see it integrated into a fic.
Line Without a Hook - Ricky Montgomery (Song)
Favorite lyrics: I don't really give a damn about the way you touch me / When we're alone
There’s something about this song that just feels so desperate to me and I absolutely adore the heartsick vibes I get from it. He’s obviously in a relationship that’s not going very well and trying to salvage what he can but doing a pretty shoddy job of it.
I really want to know more about this “crying at the lake” scene he mentions; I would adore a full-on fleshing out of that scene. Who is the girl on the other side of these lyrics? Has she really fallen out of love with him and only hurting him more by remaining in a relationship that clearly isn’t benefitting for either of them?
I would love a play-by-play of the lyrics themselves or a more analytical piece about the singer’s thoughts and feelings as the relationship progresses. Could this story end in happiness, or is it doomed for failure and a broken heart? Or perhaps recovery?
Starlight Brigade - TWRP ft. Dan Avidan (Music Video)
Favorite lyrics: I’d gladly give my life / For one night as a justice acolyte / Light shines only for the blind
I am absolutely in love with this music video. The music, the characters, the little plot… it’s all so fantastical and fun. The fact that the main protagonist is a cute blue alien meant I fell fast and hard. Anything involving Strive will put the biggest smile on my face.
Altogether, Strive’s universe is an amazing mixture of sci-fi and fantasy elements and I’m really curious to see how those blend together.
I would love anything from a novelization-type situation that does a deeper dive into the events of the music video to a more episodic fic about Strive’s day-to-day life as a member of the Starlight Brigade.

Favorite lyrics: Love was meant for more
I have to be completely honest with you, but I think this song is, by nature, a very horny song, and I do oh so love it for that. This song is also one of those cases where I zone out while listening to it and never actually parse together what the story of the song is until reading the lyrics for the first time…
I’m really craving something erotic with this song, whether that’s an actual sex scene or a dramatic verbal face-off with the singer’s object of affection. I’m talking jealousy, or anger, or love confessions made at the worst possible time!
How does this guy’s story end? How did he end up in this situation in the first place? Could this be true love, or just the yearning of a hopeless romantic? It’s funny to me that the song’s called “The Wolf,” which would suggest that he’s a playboy, but then the lyrics mention being sick of unrequited love, almost as if he’s sick of holding up the facade of thinking he doesn’t want other people’s affection and actually desires it.
