I hope this letter finds you well. I kind of decided on a whim to sign up, but I couldn't resist the appeal of this low-pressure exchange.

 

The main thing that will draw me into your story are the characters and prose. I love literary devices like metaphors, symbolism, or imagery. The little details in a fic sell me the most.

At the end of the day, if you enjoyed what you wrote, that is what matters most to me. I truly feel that when a person enjoys what they’re writing, it shines through in their fic. I have a lot of ideas of what I will like and I’m pretty easy to please.

LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF WILD

It might be shameful to admit it, but I only recently picked up BOTW, and I am in love with it. I love the atmosphere of Link traveling Hyrule on his own and recovering his memories, meeting old friends and new alike. I don't really see Link in a shippy way, so friendships would be best for me. You're welcome to write anything you feel, whether that be epistolary fic of Link's in-game travels or post-canon Zelda adjusting to living in a Ganon-free Hyrule.

 

Of certain interest:

— Link and Zelda traveling Hyrule together post-canon. I am in absolute love over the idea of Link showing her all the cool things he's learned, from archery to cooking. I looove platonic relationships and would love to see them bonding over the little, mundane things in life, with Zelda getting to see the world she never got to see before.

— Link and Prince Sidon friendship! I love Sidon's energy, and imagine them either being a disastrous pair that causes mischief together or one is calm-headed while the other likes to cause some trouble. Whatever the dynamic might be, I'd like to see more of it.

— I do love me some selectively or completely mute Link, or even a Link who is perfectly fine talking, but only to people he trusts well. Or you can make him a talkative boy— I wouldn't mind!

 

WITCH HAT ATELIER

I am obsessed with this fandom. I think Qifrey is the hottest thing since the pizza I had for dinner, and I adore Coco's growing friendship with the other girls. Olruggio/Qifrey is fantastic childhood friends to lovers, which I adore. No matter who the characters, the premise of the wonder of magic and imagination as a driving factor is fantastic. I think there's so much chilkdlike wonder in that, which makes me very happy. I love seeing characters like Olruggio still creating and doing new things with magic.

 

Other favorite things and prompts:

— I love the intricacies of Qifrey's character. The fact that he is willing to do devious things to get to the result he desires. I love the complexity of that sort of character and the stained trail he's leaving behind. How will his character change? Will he eventually reach a point of no return? Is there anybody there to stop him? You could literally write an analysis of his character and I would eat that up. Or give me fic of him reflecting on his behavior/parsing it out with someone else. Whatever you think!

— My favorite Coco scene so far has to be Chapter 2, Qifrey comforting Coco after she says she doesn't want to learn magic if it means she might encounter a forbidden spell. And then Qifrey opens the gate window to a flower field, and all of that fear is washed away. I cried. It was gorgeous. I adore Coco and Qifrey's dynamic, with Qifrey being so gentle and Coco being so full of wonderment and excitement!

— Agott and Coco are so good together. I love Agott's skills and Coco's desire to prove herself. When you put those two together, I feel like they have so many chances to work together to build upon their strengths. I'd love to see more chances for them to work off each other.

— Along the former vein, any time the four girls are together, it's so much fun seeing how they work together and solve problems! I especially appreciate moments where Coco is not the center of an argument but instead another cog in their team as they try to solve something together.

 

KAMISAMA KISS

· Kurama Shinjirou/Nekota Ami

 

Not going to lie, I have always simped extremely hard for Tomoe. I love his personality and how, no matter how harshly he might speak to Nanami, he truly loves her deep down. It doesn't hurt that he's an attractive fox spirit who's willing to hurt others to get what he wants. I am all here for shipfic of him and Nanami together, or missing scenes, or AUs. (I always love a good AU!!)

 

On the other hand, Kurama is such an enjoyable character, from his beginning as an antagonist to Nanami's friend. I love the ostrich scene and how he warms up to Nanami and the others and becomes their friend. I'd love to see more of Kurama's relationship with Ami, however far you'd like to take it.

 

DEATH PARADE

Requesting:

It's definitely not hard to fall for a character like Decim who starts off as a blank slate but, after warming up to Chiyuki, starts to develop more emotions. I would have liked to see them do more with his character, but alas, he was never a super expressive type. I'd love to see how his relationship with Chiyuki would have developed further after Decim acquired more feelings for her (and humanity in general). Chiyuki is such a strong-minded, expressive character, and I'd love to see how she'd be in a relationship with Decim. (Pulling out the AU card again, if you feel you want to take it! If that's not to your liking, missing scene fics, post-canon, pre-canon, etc, are also all up for grab. I'd love more extrapolation on Chiyuki or Decim's past, for example.)

How is it possible that I could feel out of breath after simply copying and pasting all of that?

Long story short, there are some obvious relationships that I really like, particularly the ones featuring Mikorin. I love that red-haired boy sooo much. Maybe too much.

 

I'm afraid to post too many prompt ideas lest this document stretch on forever, but I also feel like it would be unfair to NOT explain my feelings at least a little bit.

 

You can definitely write AU fic if you want, but I love modern settings the most, which is canon in this case. The thing I love the most about this fandom is the intersectionality — how the whole spider web of connections folds over itself and all the characters touch each other in some way or another, sometimes in ways you wouldn't expect. If shipfic is not your thing, then maybe shenanigans are! I will gobble up anything that has the same misunderstandings or shenanigans as a typical episode of the anime.

 

Relationships:

Nozaki Mayu/Mikoshiba Mikoto: Of course my favorite ship is one I know the least about. Nozaki's younger brother is the strong, silent type (explains why I like him so much) with secret skills he only pulls out when he feels like. And he's very handsome, especially paired with Mikorin. I adore how flustered Mikorin gets whenever he tries to flatter someone, even if he's good at it. I would love to see him try to win Mayu over for realsies, or for something stupid to happen for them to end up together.

 

Hori Masayuki/Kashima Yuu: They both express their love for each other in pretty outlandish ways! I just want them for once to confess their feelings to each other. Or have them go through a whole interaction without Hori trying to strangle Kashima. Girl deserves better, in my honest opinion, and I do think there are moments where they truly get each other and mesh together extremely well. Give me one of those moments, and I would be over the moon.

 

Mamiko/Suzuki Saburou: Since this is supposed to be the stereotypical shojo manga couple, I think it would be amazing to get a fic that pulls out all the stops. Maybe being aggressively trope-y will be a turn-off for some, but I think it would be extremely enjoyable and probably humorous, too.

  

Mikoshiba Mikoto & Nozaki Umetarou & Sakura Chiyo: The trifecta of sometimes ridiculous shenanigans, but always fun shenanigans. I love getting to see how the three of them work together, and how they are still sort of the core of the whole story. It's so cute seeing how Mikorin has become Chiyo's friend, and they even spend time together outside of working for Nozaki-kun. I'd like to think they're each each other's wingperson on their respective searches for true love.

 

Nozaki Umetarou/Sakura Chiyo: I don’t know when, if ever, we will get to see these two together, so seeing them in an established relationship feels like a pipe dream, but one I will wholeheartedly support. Chiyo's adorable, and I think she would be ecstatic to be in an actual relationship with Nozaki, and what that relationship would actually look like intrigues me greatly.

 

Seo Yuzuki/Wakamatsu Hirotaka: I adore the fact that Seo is the source of both Waka's troubles and solutions. The fact that her singing helps put him to sleep and yet he's tormented by her every day will never not be funny to me, even if I don't entirely love the cruel way Waka is treated sometimes. I love seeing Seo give Waka any sort of physical affection, and think the soft boy must be protected at all costs.

 

KLAUS (2019)

Klaus was my favorite movie of 2019 by far. (Although to be fair, I don't watch many movies.) I loved the entitled, bratty attitude Jesper radiated (reminiscent of a certain llama emperor) and the strong, yet gentle, presence of Klaus. The two could not be further polar opposites. (pun intended!) I also loved the style of the movie, the pacing of the plot, and how perfectly the ended slotted in together.

 

I totally get if you are not here for a shippy time, but I think all the cards were set there for something to happen. I love how energetic Jesper is compared to Klaus's stoicism and it was wonderful that Klaus ended up with a sort-of new family of his own by the end of the movie, but I still would have loved some M/M action. (I always do.)

 

Post-canon friends to lovers, canon divergence, or even AUs are all welcome. I'd even welcome epistolary fic of Klaus or Jesper writing out their feelings for the other until we get to see it manifest somehow further along the road. I would love to see what Jesper and Klaus are like in an established relationship.

 

Margu and Jesper are also a favorite, especially because I resonated with Jesper's initial reaction to having a random child on his doorstep the first time they met. The way their relationship developed is an interesting one, because it transcends words, and I think it'd be cool to see more of those interactions, and how Jesper might still connect with Margu post-canon.

 

LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS

This show is so badass and everything about it is amazing. It's made me pick up books that some of the episodes were based off because I just couldn't get enough of the suspense, humor, gore, and delicious plot twists. The seamless mixture of robots and magic is astounding and I've never seen anything quite like it. I wish we had more shows or books with that sort of intersection! Unfortunately, the episodes are always so short and even though they always have a decent ending, I would like to see more from them. This is probably also a good time to remind you that I'm fine with darker fic! Murder is fine, so long as it's fictional, haha.

 

Khanivore & Sonnie: There's a lot of space to build upon what was shown in canon, from fully writing out the scene where Sonnie died to exploring how she controls Khanivore and a human body. TBH, I am still a little wishy-washy on how it works as they didn't go into great detail, and I would have loved to see more explanation. I think, too, that getting to see them in more fights or going through their day-to-day lives could be quite interesting.

 

Liang/Yan: The universe of this story is fascinating, especially because of how rapidly industrialization spread. The steampunk vibes are wonderful, and the sprinkle of magic in the universe leaves me wanting more. I also think there's a lot you could do with colonization and the cultures of the universe if you so wished.

Man, was I disappointed that Liang and Yan remained friends at the very end. I would love to see some hurt/comfort fic, friends to lovers, or just straight-up established relationship between them. They have such an easy dynamic, and understand each other probably better than anyone else. I especially liked how Liang cared for Yan and how they first created an uneasy friendship after Yan's mother was killed. I think it'd be cool to see them fighting crime together, or Liang finding new ways to help support Yan's cause of saving others from the same fate she saw herself in.
