The things that appeals to me most about this pairing is definitely the dynamic between them. I love how petulant Kei is with Ushio, and yet how understanding they are with each other and how needlessly complicated their relationship gets sometimes just by nature of them being who they are XD

With Kei, everything from his double-sided nature to his extremely hardworking attitude are appealing to me. I adore the dichotomy of his character and all of the complexities that come with that— how Kunieda Kei handles a situation vs the real Kei. How he's so handsome and adored then turns around and bad-mouths people! 😂 I can relate to him in some ways, which makes me happy.

I love situations where Kei or Ushio have to confront feelings or new situations the other is involved with. Where they learn things about each other. My favorite moments are those where Kei asks Ushio about his work and he opens up about it. I was reading one of the light novels recently (or an extra, actually,) and Ushio said there wasn't much point to telling Kei about his work because it would be hard to describe what goes on in his head. But I wanna know!! Kei rants about his job to Ushio all the time and Ushio loves to listen to it but I want there to be a day where it's about Ushio for once and he's the one monologuing XD (And while on the subject of jobs, I would love to know more about both of theirs, though absolutely Kei's in particular!)

I go feral over those rare, tender moments where Kei says how he's really feeling and Ushio accepts those feelings. Ushio knows deep down how Kei truly feels but I do enjoy those “all is lost” moments where Kei is forced to either be upfront and honest about something he's vulnerable about or he loses everything. And he always shows up at the final hour before it's too late to patch things up with Ushio.

How I Attended an All-Guy's Mixer

Requesting: Hagi/Kohaku

When I was first inroduced to this show, I was absolutely in love with the concept and can definitely say that I've enjoyed the execution. All three of the main pairings are cute in their own ways, but Hagi and Kohaku's dynamic gripped me from the beginning. Themes of gender and sexuality fuckery are my favorite to play around with, and I was absolutely thrilled when Hagi started down his own sexuality journey, trying to decide whether he was bisexual or only attracted to Kohaku. As someone who is on the aroace spectrum, I found this plotline incredibly affirming and I honestly would love to see more of it explored between these two characters!

I was also honestly very surprised that Kohaku is the only one who worries that she isn't cute enough because she crossdresses. That could definitely count as deysphoria that she possibly hasn't completely processed yet, and I would love a story where Hagi helps her explore those feelings and find more comfort or boundaries within her own body and physical appearance, whether that's admitting how much he finds her male style hot, or being able to enjoy more time with her as a girl.

I would love a story that explores these two characters attractions toward each other and the complexities that come with being attracted to both sides of Kohaku. I will admit, there's a part of me that also thinks it's incredibly hot that the girls are able to switch between feminine and masculine looks so seamlessly. Hagi's extremely blushy personality gives great promise to his role as a sub in the bedroom dynamics! (I also in general just love those moments when he's a puddle of embarrassment! He's such a gay disaster and I love him)

Ogi's Summer Break

Requesting: Haruto Ogi/Shinya Tago

This manga could have stopped at having representation of a blind character but no, it had to go and give us a character who wears skirts and paints his nails and drives me insane in the most positive way!!! Like, two volumes was not enough. I wanted it to be *at least* twenty more chapters before ending with, “they moved in together.” Not that I'm not overjoyed for them but I thought, “Give me more drama! Give me the slowburn and cheesy romance tropes like misunderstandings and miscommunication, etc. etc.!” I know some people find such things repetitive or cumbersome, but honestly, it's really thrilling to see how a character acts in different situations and how that develops their character and relationship. That's why I love overdone tropes with refreshing new takes— it doesn't matter if the characters are doing taxes. If you have the right characters and the right author, it could be interesting. (And I mean, c'mon. Tago would make taxes interesting!)

The manga had so many timeskips!! We get a lot of thought bubbles that say, “I've hung out with Tago four times now” or “This is my third date with Tago.” It's ripe with opportunities to fill in those gaps with dialog and cute hand-holding and all that good stuff. If not writing missing scene fic, then I think there are also plenty of opportunities to write post-canon fic in a university setting. Living together presents its own set of new problems but also a chance for Tago to find more autonomy and independence than he ever did with his family, and as someone who is blind, he no doubt will have challenges to overcome and a new lifestyle to have to adjust to.

Play It Cool, Guys

General likes for the fandom: I love the humorous tone of this manga and the lower-stakes, slice of life style plot. The anime is an especially large comfort show of mine because it's funny and relaxed and makes me feel like things are actually gonna be ok! The emphasis on platonic relationships is especially precious to me, and the way the characters interact with each other is so satisfying. If kismet could be platonic, I 100% think that's what they have. This is a story I really wish more people were interested in so I could talk to them about it and gush about how life can be so simple and satisfying when you have good relationships and goals to strive toward!

Hayate/Souma

This ship appeals to me the most because I definitely feel like they have a lot of compatability, being around the same age and stage in their life. I'm really drawn to the idea that Souma would unwittingly capture Hayate's heart with his sweet personality and attractive looks! And Hayate, being his overly blushy self, would be extremely embarrassed in every interaction and struggling to admit his feelings! I genuinely think Souma is so handsome (piercings AND a tattoo, no matter how little it is!) And I would love emphasis/attention directed toward this fact

Hayate/Mima

Googling images for this pairing came up with some tremendously cute results. The way Mima looks for comfort and finds that in Hayate... the author/book connection... the fact that their first meeting was basically literally a date, complete with buying each other gifts and everything!! ૮( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)ა Ahhh it's so wholesome!! I feel like they would both be very gentle with each other while Hayate would still be an absolute blush factory, but I'm in full support of it!!

Arima/Tasuku

⭐I do not mind having Hirosawa and Tsubaki included in the story and even having some romantic drama with them so long as anything sexual or established in terms of the relationship are kept to the requested ship.

In my letter, I refer to Kaname Tasuku as “Tasukun” since this is what they call him in the Eng translation I own. I also refer to Anonymous-san as “Someone-san”.

Okay so like hear me out. I read Our Dreams at Dusk about a year ago and loved it to bits. I adored the variety of representation provided in its four volumes and the last volume's ending moved me to tears. (It still does every time.) I love the characters and the community and the nuance of there being no perfect answer to these difficult questions surrounding gender identity, romantic and sexual attraction, etc. When I read Boy Meets Maria, my mind kept pulling back in the direction of Our Dreams at Dusk. How would Someone-san deal with Arima if she encountered him? How would the people at the Drop-In Center learn of his complicated history with his gender? How could he begin to explore it with these other people? Would he go by different pronouns? (I would LOVE if Arima started going by they/them or he/she/they pronouns!!!!) I loved reading Boy Meets Maria but it left me absolutely aching for more time with Arima Yuu. I felt like a starved orphan when the experience was over simply begging for more food!

The setting as actors on a stage is particularly perfect for Arima given the many moments it either assists or interferes with his exploration of his gender identity. I would have loved to see more moments like that, more details about what it takes to act on stage or even aspects of the production I'd never considered before, like preparing props/the scene and casting actors. How long does it take? Since this is a high school operation, I am assuming the students have to prepare all of this themselves? If he begins visiting the Drop-In Center after classes, does anyone else begin wondering where he goes? Does he fall behind on his acting or is he able to strike a balance?

I'm really enamoured by the concept of these two characters running into each other and thinking the other is the cooler version of himself before realizing that they're both dorks. Because both of them also come from canons with a slice of light tone and emphasis on humor, it would be funny to find ways to incorporate that into the story, especially with mistaken identity, bodyswap, etc. (And for all intents and purposes, I'm a little gremlin who would greatly enjoy "bodyswap only reversible by sex" and other such shenanigans)

Boy Meets Maria

Requesting: Arima Yuu

I loved reading Boy Meets Maria but it left me absolutely aching for more time with Arima Yuu. I felt like a starved orphan when the experience was over simply begging for more food! I love queer stories and this one in particular had so many interesting things happening in it which I wish had been expounded upon more, especially with Arima's experiences and his perspective on the world and his own gender and getting to see how it changes over the course of the story.

I want to know what his first day of school was like when he swapped the skirt in for trousers. How did he feel? How did the other students react? What were the days and months like leading up to his first time he performed onstage? And afterward, what did it take for him to learn how to dance so well to the point that he became "Maria"?

Ten Count

Ken Mikami/Shirotani Tadaomi (Ten Count)

I absolutely loved the premise of Ten Count but definitely ached for more interaction between Shirotani and Mikami, so I decided to request it! I would love a dynamic where the relationship develops slowly, with emphasis on the romantic attraction and more details about their jobs and lives. I would have loved if Makimi could have continued to help Shirotani and finally gotten to have a meal with him at a cafe, or even shared a drink with him. I'm a huge sucker for fics with a lot of fluff and comfort, and given Shirotani's mysophobia, I feel like that presents a lot of opportunities for something to go wrong and for Mikami to jump in and help him handle it. For this fandom, I'm a little sensitive to Shirotani being put in too many triggering situations, especially physical. I'm not saying it can't be done, but the way it was represented in canon left me really wishing for a love interest with a bit of a gentler hand. (I should also mention that I absolutely love Shirotani's pink hair and think he's absolutely gorgeous, so extra emphasis on the point would be sosososoo appreciated!)
