Crossover Fandom

- Requesting: Arima Yuu (Boy Meets Maria)/Kaname Tasuku (Shimanami Tasogare)

⭐ I do not mind having Hirosawa and Tsubaki included in the story and even having some romantic drama with them so long as anything sexual or established in terms of the relationship are kept to the requested ship.

In my letter, I refer to Kaname Tasuku as “Tasukun” since this is what they call him in the Eng translation I own. I also refer to Anonymous-san as “Someone-san.”

We are by no means bereft of gay media in the BL space. However, I still think both Our Dreams at Dusk and Boy Meets Maria approach gender, sex, and sexuality in a particular way that I want to see more of. When you get down to it, neither of them are stories whose main goal is romance. Both of them are stories about finding yourself, and community, in who—and how—you love. I read Our Dreams at Dusk first then moved onto Boy Meets Maria probably a year or so later but immediately saw a connection in theme between the two stories.

I'm a huge sucker for stories that touch upon the nuanced, deeply personal approaches people take to love, gender identity, etc. and Our Dreams at Dusk fully fed me on that front from the beginning. As an asexual, I loved Someone-san's character especially—the way she is unabashedly herself at the start of the story, with the truth being that certainly wasn't always the case. Our Dreams at Dusk is a story filled with community and diversity, so when I picked up Boy Meets Maria, the dearth initially took me a little aback. While it's probably narrated from Hirosawa's perspective partially to build mystery around Arima's character and his identity, it left me racing to any panel with even a little Arima rep!

Arima is an incredibly special character to me and I would love to read more about his journey from a setting with a little more queerness in it, like they have in Our Dreams at Dusk. I think Dusk also has a special tenderness to it and the mythical elements were one of my favorite parts of the story. I think it would also be very interesting if Arima and Tasukun met during or after the events of their respective canons. I think there's a lot of interesting potential there for a relationship to bud any number of ways.

While romance is certainly on the table, I think the most important thing for me with this pairing is companionship. I think it'd be really fun to see a pairing where they both strive so hard to be understood and find that, while stumbling a little along the way. And while it's not noted too much in my prompts (which are very much optional), I would love both of them to still approach meeting and friendship/love in their own unique ways, thorns attached!

Some ideas:

Arima in Our Dreams at Dusk. How would Someone-san deal with Arima if she encountered him? How would the people at the Drop-In Center learn of his complicated history with his gender? How could he begin to explore it with these other people? Would he go by different pronouns? (I would LOVE if Arima started going by they/them or he/she/they pronouns!!!!) I loved reading Boy Meets Maria but it left me absolutely aching for more time with Arima Yuu. I felt like a starved orphan when the experience was over simply begging for more food!

Exploring Arima's acting career. The setting as actors on a stage is particularly perfect for Arima given the many moments it either assists or interferes with his exploration of his gender identity. I would have loved to see more moments like that, more details about what it takes to act on stage or even aspects of the production I'd never considered before, like preparing props/the scene and casting actors. How long does it take? Since this is a high school operation, I am assuming the students have to prepare all of this themselves? If he begins visiting the Drop-In Center after classes, does anyone else begin wondering where he goes and how could their support influence how he sees himself onstage? Could acting become an outlet for him to reanalyze his feelings about his gender identity and how he’s perceived?

School transfer drama. Tasukun transfers to a new school (either moving to a new city altogether, or a school in the same district) after incidents with bullying and things growing awkward between him and Tsubaki. Depending on the point of Tasukun's move in relation to both respective canons, maybe he would recognize Arima as someone who is facing struggles similar to that of Misora-san. Maybe an unlikely friendship forms between Tasukun and Arima after they run into each other in an awkward position (like Arima in women's clothing or Tasukun out and about with friends who are openly gay and trans outside of school). It could be fun and interesting to see how there might be friction between them (especially considering how prickly Arima was initially, and likely still is, in some ways)—before melting into something a little more familiar and supportive!

Summertime friendship to…? Similar to previous idea, but Arima visits Onomichi over the summer. I have so many ideas for fun things he could do—go out on the water, hike, eat watermelon, watch fireworks, and attend festivals and used-book markets! What if he's there on a family trip and is looking for every opportunity to slip away from them, which may or may not include disguising himself as the opposite sex and sneaking off just to avoid them? It might also be neat if Arima finds a random opportunity to participate in a play. What if that is how Arima learns about the Drop-In Center and meets Tasukun for the first time? Or what if Tasukun makes friends with Arima's secret female identity first, and Arima eventually reveals his identity? Once again, I'm very interested in the potential for gender fluid/nonbinary Arima!!

- Requesting: Jing Yuan/Yanqing

This ship has extra smut4smut prompts!

I'm in love with Yanqing's loyalty for Jing Yuan, going so far as to 1v2 Dan Heng and Blade because he believes in the law blah blah (I like to think the real reason is to prove himself to Jing Yuan)!! The way Jing Yuan cares for him, trains with him, even plays chess with him. How Jing Yuan knows that Yanqing is bound for greatness and is doing everything in his power to care for Yanqing and keep him safe despite knowing Yanqing's already such a talented swordsman. (And not letting Yanqing get too over his head about everything). Jing Yuan in that one cutscene at Tingyun's funeral ceremony with Yanqing supporting him because he was supposed to be recovering!!! HELLO? THE SOFTNESS! But also the thought that Yanqing probably didn't leave his side as soon as he'd heard that Jing Yuan had been injured!

I think there's a special eroticism in Jing Yuan or Yanqing loving the other platonically and realizing over time that the feeling has developed into romantic/sexual then going, Oh shit. As a couple, I enjoy there either being a real-world concern for what others will think and the societal acceptance of it (esp considering Yanqing's age), but it can also be handwaved away or Yanqing can be aged up to avoid that drama altogether if it doesn't suit your taste. I am not interested in hyperfocus on Yanqing's youth or him being a child, though I think Jing Yuan as daddy could be hot for kink purposes. I do love there being a huge relief once Yanqing's reached a certain age (or rank— *cough* Sword Champion— *cough*) and having sex about it. The relief of sex that has been long-awaited is so good and I want to read it!!

On the whole, I prefer sex that accentuates their differences— size difference, age difference, and power imbalance. I love when Yanqing is super prideful, loyal, and possessive. I think he'd certainly be understanding of the fact that Jing Yuan has had prior sexual experiences (because of course he has), but that doesn't mean it doesn't annoy Yanqing. I'd love to read a fic where Yanqing's jealous/very self-aware of his inexperience and wants to do something to change it. I think Jing Yuan would enjoy humoring him at first before realizing that Yanqing has a way higher sex drive than him and a nonexistent refractory period. Then the shoe could absolutely be on the other foot and he's left thinking, What have I gotten myself into?

Some ideas:

Feelings realization. Jing Yuan has been at Yanqing's side from the beginning. He's been happy to fill the role of a surrogate father figure and teacher, but as years and people come and go from their lives, Yanqing is a constant presence in Jing Yuan's mind. The graceful curve of his back has become accentuated with muscles where it had not been prior; his voice has dipped just a little, into something creamier; even clothing rests differently on Yanqing's body, which both men have become more conscious of. Jing Yuan's carefully conscious of the attraction growing steadily in the pit of his stomach. The confusing thing is he's not sure whether it's his imagination or if Yanqing is reciprocating his attraction with subtle flirting and sitting just close enough for surreptitious hands on thighs and exchanged glances that suggest he desires something more.

Canon divergence of Scalegorge Waterscape after Jing Yuan intervened in the fight between Yanqing and Blade and Dan Heng. Jing Yuan orders him to leave with the other Cloud Knights while he handles the looming danger. But Yanqing wants to be involved despite what injuries he might have. What would have happened had he stayed to fight? Would he have gotten in the way? What if, during the fight with Phantylia, Yanqing had been against Jing Yuan sacrificing himself and tossed himself into the middle of the danger instead, dramatically wounding Yanqing and putting everyone at more risk? Would Jing Yuan have been even more incensed, perhaps revealing a side of himself he shows to nobody else, or would he have kept his cool demeanor only to scold Yanqing behind closed doors later? What if Jing Yuan carried him back to the infirmary later and only then realized that the protection and fear Jing Yuan felt at losing Yanqing stretched beyond what he had first suspected and as it turns out it's love?

A story exploring Jing Yuan's and Yanqing's relationship as a general and student. “He broke the borisin's Devouring Wolf formation with Jing Yuan, beheading three Brood Lords. He also fought viciously against the wingweavers, ultimately sinking their almighty Cloudseizer Fleet.” What were these events like as they were happening? Did anyone sustain any injuries (sexily, with clothes that had to then be removed in order for bandages to be applied)? During their first war together, perhaps they started becoming more aware of the other's presence and the way they held themselves. It could be Yanqing's first time not seeing Jing Yuan as his father but as a General or even simply a man (😳).

Potential Jing Yuan rescue mission. For years, Yanqing has stood by Jing Yuan's side with the assumption that things would always be that way. But when Jing Yuan leaves for a colloquy and doesn't return with orders from the Xianzhou Alliance not to search for him, Yanqing's fears are on high alert. Is the Alliance up to something? Is Jing Yuan in danger, or even worse, missing or dead? Yanqing only knows one thing— there's not a doubt in his mind that he'll search for Jing Yuan to the ends of the universe, even if it means disobeying the (possibly corrupted) Alliance and losing everything in the process, even the role of Sword Champion which he had sought for so long. If his General isn't there to witness it, does it even matter?

Once I started learning more about Xiao, I started connecting dots between him and Scara and then found that I couldn't stop. Wouldn't it be interesting if the yaksha who thinks he doesn't feel anything and the amnesia-addled wanderer who feels too much taught each other some things about their emotions? What if Xiao fell in love with that puppet when he had no memories, then that puppet went off and got his memories back? Or what if Xiao met that puppet when he was a bloodthirsty harbinger, or waaay farther back, before Scara even had his first name? What if Scaramouche met Xiao before Xiao was enslaved by a certain god? There's so much potential for canon divergence!! There's no singular way to write their dynamic because it all depends on when they meet and that possibility is addicting to me, so I'm always returning to them and wanting to experiment with new scenarios.

I want to see them fall in love across universes. Or fight and bicker like oil and water before both softening up to each other when they realize just how much the other has gone through. It would be difficult, though, given how antisocial they both are, which is why I've definitely written their dynamic as amnesia-addled Wanderer/Xiao before or the bad boy (Xiao) falling for the badder boy (Scaramouche) who is on an assignment for the Harbingers at the time and Scara falls in love with Xiao because he's hot or some other surface-level thing before realizing the feelings run deeper than that XD (and Xiao, of course, just liking that he has some company and someone who has resistance to his karmic debt).

Modern AUs would be so much fun, too. I'm at that point with this pairing where even the most banal coffeeship AU could be interesting because it's them. What is your Xiao like? How does he fall in love with Scaramouche or vice versa? I would be more than chuffed to see your answer.

Ideas because they make me unwell:

In general, I always go feral for a Xiao/Scaramouche dynamic where they give each other special treatment they don't extend to anyone else

Amnesia in either direction.

From Xiao’s side: Xiao doesn’t remember who Wanderer is after his erasure at Irminsul. Whether they were friends or enemies, now is an opportunity to rewrite all of it, and Wanderer decides that he wants to find a way to forge a friendship with Xiao. Xiao doesn’t readily recognize the stranger the first time they meet, but something feels familiar about him. It would be fun to play around with Xiao’s adeptal abilities to maybe help him in the recollection of his own memories, which could either complicate or help Wanderer’s efforts to develop a friendship with Xiao.

From Wanderer’s side: Between that sliver of time where Wanderer loses his memory and before he has them restored, Xiao recognizes that there’s something wrong. Whether Xiao still remembers Wanderer or just has an inkling that something has happened, it would be fun to read a story where he discovers what has happened to Wanderer and is enlisted to help. In the case of Xiao remembering and Wanderer not, I expect it would be very tender; the second possibility is very funny to me, though. Like maybe Nahida enlists Xiao’s help and tells him he doesn’t remember, but this is someone important to him, so he chooses to believe her and assist in Wanderer’s recuperation, which definitely doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass when Wanderer does eventually recover his memories and returns to being his prickly self, which could open a whole ‘nother can or worms. 

Shogun!Scaramouche AU. It could be fun to imagine a universe where Ei elected to keep the puppet who she thought was too emotional and he blossoms into either a tyrannical ruler or surprisingly well-adjusted leader. (Maybe all he needed was to get what he wanted in the beginning!) Imagine another Sakoku Decree but Xiao is there for whatever reason, perhaps attempting to help Aether make attempts on Scaramouche's life. I would love some hate sex thrown in somewhere. Underhanded dealings and secret trysts and fighting with high drama and all that!

Scaramouche/Xiao enemies to lovers. I have a lot of trouble realistically writing a pairing that is rude or mean to each other (particularly because I start feeling too bad for poor Xiao) but I would adore an enemies-to-lovers sort of situation where they're at each other's throats and making attempts on the other's life 😂 (see above lol). I love reading fight scenes, interesting puppet anatomy and injury, scars, and some eventual hurt/comfort thrown in there. Dracyphilia with a sobbing Xiao OR Wanderer also has a sort of appeal to it!

Zhongli & ambassadorial trips. The archon Morax is on an assignment to Inazuma and Xiao tags along for security. Or same setup, but Zhongli drags Xiao along while he’s on his way to visit Nahida in Sumeru. Depending on timeline, Xiao could meet kabukimono or Wanderer and form a relationship. I have a lot of interest in the idea of Xiao, who once knew Scaramouche intimately, now meeting Wanderer in Sumeru for the first time and Wanderer’s forced to confront his feelings all over and decide whether he’d like to revive their bond.

I have a few fics I've written of them (one, two, three) that I would love to have continuations of or be inspired for more fic. They're all long (the third is a longfic) but I think they all encapsulate the sort of dynamic I love most from them

I don't really have a preference for which Scaramouche is paired with Xiao though I have a slight preference toward Wanderer for canonverse fic. I like a boi who has gone through The Horrors™ and already come out the other side. But Xiao being all soft with Kabukimono is adorable and Xiao hating the trauma-riddled Scaramouche is 🔥spicy 🔥. I also rarely ever see fic of the puppet's transition from Kabukimono to Scaramouche (I just call that “Kunikuzushi”) or Kuronushi (of the Five Kasen from that poetry event/Irodori Festival that I missed) and would love to see more coverage of that time in Wanderer's life!

Heizou/Lyney

Heiozu and Lyney are both charismatic characters with a public persona and trauma-filled pasts. I’m very interested in the way they both have insecurities about their work and things they can’t tell their family or friends because they don’t want to worry the ones who rely on them, so they put on a strong face instead. I feel like Heizou and Lyney would meet and instantly recognize that this is someone who understands the troubles the other has gone through. (Expert deduction and intuition!) But then would Heizou and Lyney find quick companionship with one another or would they be more afraid to be their true selves in front of another person who intimately understands the other’s vulnerabilities? Would they fall hard and fast, or be more wary around someone who he’s nervous about exposing too much to? If trust is something either of them are insecure about, I could easily find it taking some time for them to warm up to each other despite a natural chemistry.

Competency porn, competency porn, competency porn. I’m all about Heizou and Lyney being extremely skilled at their craft and using that knowledge in everything from social situations to investigating crimes. Give me complicated magic tricks, logic puzzles, analytical deductions, etc. Drop them in a scene and have them steal the show! I think it would be fun and interesting if Heizou and Lyney found themselves at the center of a case together. Is it a competition to see who can race to the solution of the case first, or are they working together? Please lay the flirting on thick. They’re two charming boys and I would simply melt into a puddle if blessed with a flirt-off between them, especially if they’re cocky and teasing about it with each other. There’s a very old 2005 movie called Mr. & Mrs. Smith and I could totally see Heizou and Lyney having that sort of dynamic, too.

In an established relationship, I want to see them one-upping each other with bouquets of flowers, love letters, fancy dinner reservations, the whole nine yards. I think if either of them ever tried to buy wedding rings for a marriage proposal, he’d have to be super stealthy about it to not wind up being discovered by the other. Same goes for literally any surprises, although I do like to think Heizou still has the sharper intuition of the two. Between Lyney’s magic tricks and Heizou’s charm, I can only assume their sex is amazing. Who tops? Do they switch?

I am making a whole separate paragraph about this because yes I care about it that much. If there’s any way to put Lyney (or Lyney and Heizou) into a tight spot and give Lyney claustrophobia, I would adore you. I think he’s been through enough moments in canon to have developed a reasonable fear of tight/small spaces and I would LOVE to see that fear get WORSE. GIVE THAT BOY CLAUSTROPHOBIA I BEG!!! I LOVE this pairing especially for moments of vulnerability and panic attacks, freak outs, huge moments of needing comfort. (Which the other one can provide, obviously.) Especially because it’s a side of Lyney that Lyney himself doesn’t want other people to see, and that’s all the more reason for me to want to see it forced out into the open. (Same for Heizou and his traumatizing past.)

Some prompts:

Couple’s vacation and murder. Heizou and Lyney met several years ago and have been maintaining a long-distance relationship but finally will be seeing each other in person again. The long itinerary they’ve planned barely has enough room for them to breathe between shows, cafés, sightseeing, and travel, but neither could be more excited. It all begins with a train ride through the scenic countryside. The only problem? Their trip is in jeopardy of being delayed due to a homicide case with the murderer among the passengers. In order to save their vacation and bring the criminal to justice, Heizou and Lyney must work together to uncover the facts and solve the case.

Heizou investigating in Fontaine. Heizou must infiltrate a performance to solve a case and Lyney happens to be among the participants and is the only one who has sniffed out his true intentions. Does Lyney help him or hinder his progress for fear of it ruining his performance? Alternatively: At his boss’s behest, Heizou is encouraged to take a vacation after solving a difficult case, so he cashes out on a long-awaited trip to Fontaine. While there, he encounters Lyney, who winds up being an integral aspect of a case he (not surprisingly) finds himself at the center of.

Lyney in Inazuma. For one reason or another, Lyney (and Lynette?) have been recruited for a performance in Inazuma as part of festival celebrations. The twins take it up as an opportunity to close up a few loose ends regarding the Fatui based there, but Heizou picks up the scent of their work immediately, throwing a wrench into their plans. Alternatively, Lyney gets framed as the culprit for a crime he didn’t do (possibly also Fatui related?) and Heizou can’t help but stick his nose in the problem. Regardless of the setup, what I’m basically saying, is: Heizou deduction competency porn where Lyney is being a little criminal somehow. XD

General original work likes:

Some of my recent favorite qualities in characters are that they are aloof, standoffish, independent, and have a special skill they’re really good at. I really enjoy characters who are miserable (it’s fun to laugh (or cry) about it 😭) and have an obvious problem they’re not trying to solve (if you keep ignoring, it’ll definitely go away, which isn’t maladaptive at all)! I really like characters who have big personalities and are somewhat predictable in the way they’ll respond to situations. I’ve been into reading a lot of danmei recently and a bit of sci-fi, so modern/sci-fi/fantasy are all great! I prefer stories that are character-driven with focus on their motivations for doing things and a lot of internal thoughts and feelings. I am obviously requesting romance, and I really enjoy established relationships just as much as getting together, though in either situation I really want conflict or some drama to be the main focus.

- Famous Actor Boyfriend/Nonbinary Twitch Streamer Who Unveils Their Relationship On-Stream (M/NB) (OW)

I requested this because I’m deeply amused by the prospect of two characters who are adored by their own separate audiences being discovered as being together and kind of unraveling the mystery of how that relationship even came to happen. And also if the unveiling part was intentional on both of their parts or if it was something accidental/the streamer decided to do on their own which might upset the actor boyfriend in some capacity because he’s precious about his personal life. Either way, I’m attracted by the drama of this premise and how it could snowball into something messy without their intention.

I think I’m more interested in the sort of personalities these characters must possess to have attracted one another rather than by what the audience thinks. I feel like celebrity relationships are fairly common, and maybe it’s kind of like that, but I’m also so extremely curious who fell for who first and how the relationship first happened leading to the ensuing reveal. Why didn’t they reveal their relationship sooner? Maybe it was the classic fuckbuddy to long-time partners pipeline (where it’d be awkward to pinpoint exactly when it was “official” enough to talk about so it never happened), or they just really prefer to keep their private lives private. It would be fun if one half of the relationship doesn’t really mind sharing these sorts of details about their lives with the public and the other half is the reason it’s taken a year (or whatever) for the reveal to happen.

Speaking of, how does the reveal happen? And does it change anything about their dynamic? Such as, was the reveal an accident on part of either character and would the other forgive them when it happens? It would be cute if it was intentional and they decided to set it up as a “casual accident” when in fact it’s not (Such as the famous actor boyfriend poking his head in one day and the chat explodes). But if it’s an accident, it could be fun to see how they handle the fallout and adjust to everyone knowing about them.

Lastly, it’d be cute to write the streamer and actor out in public together afterward and how they’d find ways to include each other in things a little more, like the streamer inviting their boyfriend to play games with them or the actor dragging them along to fancy parties where they don’t feel like they fit in but they do their best anyway 🥹

A good aloof/aloof dynamic would be very fun, or super charismatic character A/surprisingly antisocial character B! In these sort of industries, you’d expect both characters to have manicured public sides, so seeing how this dynamic could pull other sides of them out more would be fun.

- Sick Fanfic Author/Her Female Rival Who Mails Her Half a Blister Pack of Medicine (F/F)

At the end of this section is a readmore with the context if you’d like to read the original story (the linked above is screenshots, and I want it to be accessible). Basically, there were these two fic authors who made separate anonymous submissions on a Venting for Writers account. They’re in the same writing circle who share trending spots but don’t talk to each other much directly… until one of them (Char A, we’ll call her) gets sick and the other (Char B) starts losing the passion of writing fic without her counterpart to compete with. So, B encourages A to get well soon by messaging her anonymously in a chat system where they’re friends. Basically, A doesn’t know that B is the other popular author in their small circle. There’s hidden identity, somewhat one-sided rivalry, distance but they could plausibly meet in real life…

I really enjoy fandom relationships because being online friends with someone gives me a chance to be myself in a way I usually can’t when I’m in person. I love this premise and how it gives so much promise to being able to freely explore that feeling and really grow close with someone who understands and appreciates the same things you do.

Also, dating another fanfic writer sounds like it would come with so much potential for cute tropes. They’ve already completed the sickfic, but there’s basically everything else to experience—fake dating, the conclusion of the one-sided enemies to lovers, fluff, feelings realization… there’s so much! I would like to think the first person who mailed the medicine is in deep denial of how much she likes the other and the other would accept the relationship immediately if only the other person initiated and confessed first.

Some ideas:

What happens after the sick fanfic author recovers? Did the blister pack come with any sort of indication of who sent it? What if something about the package tipped off who it was to the sick fanfic author, such as the handwriting of an accompanying letter? Is there ✨tension ✨? Do they live close enough to meet in person someday? How fun would it be if they wrote each other’s AUs and gifted each other fics on their birthdays, did collabs together, became beta readers, etc. etc.? It has so much potential to be cute!!

- Mysophobic Employee/Coworker He Enlists to Help (M/M) (OW)

** Please note that I will do my best to approach mysophobia with respect and sensitivity, but if this is a subject you’re close to, it probably doesn’t look the same from my perspective. I apologize in advance if there’s anything off about my representation! **

I really enjoy characters who cope with problems in maladaptive/destructive ways, and mysophobia definitely rests squarely in that area. I would really enjoy reading about a character who struggles with a mental illness and seeing how that stretches into every aspect of his life, including impacting his work and relationships with others. It would be interesting to see how a mysophobic character tries (and fails) to cope with worsening symptoms and how they manifest, such as going straight home after work, washing his hands frequently, wearing gloves, showering multiple times a day, etc, etc.

I imagine this kind of playing out as the mysophobic employee (we’ll call him Char A) being acquaintances with a coworker in the same department (Char B). Maybe B is one of the only person A is in consistent contact with aside from family members or online friends because the mysophobia has reached a point where he only goes out when it’s necessary. I usually prefer characters (sloppily) trying to solve problems on their own rather than seeking therapy, and I think this would be the sort of story where Char A only reaches out for help once he’s exhausted all other options and something terrible has happened.

Dynamic-wise, I have no expectations about what kind of personality B has, but I picture A as being very hard on himself and so stressed out of his gourd that he no longer remembers a time when he wasn’t constantly tense. Maybe B will be able to help with that by being a calm or encouraging presence!

Some ideas:

“I can’t take it anymore.” I have read that the effects of mysophobia often manifest similarly to obsessive compulsive disorder, or might exist in tandem with that, worsening the situation over time. So, maybe the inciting incident that leads to A seeking B’s help is the situation reaching a climax where he’s no longer able to ignore it. Maybe A’s had a complete mental breakdown and is so fed up with himself that this is his last cry for help before giving up entirely. Maybe he was away from work for a week or two after being hospitalized or things are actually going semi-well when he reaches out to B seeking someone to vent to about his problems. Char A knows that exposure therapy is a frequently cited way of alleviating symptoms, but he doesn’t have any good point to start aside from the only in-person contact he has: his coworker.

“This seems like it might work… right?” A fluffier approach than previous, where Character A has noticed that he doesn’t feel as anxious when he’s around B, who has probably begun to clock what’s going on. Maybe he figured it out on his own and didn’t want to bring it up directly with Char A because he’s very self-conscious about it. It would be fun to see how that relationship develops, from being acquaintances to developing a friendship (and eventual romantic relationship) outside of working hours. How difficult would it be for Char A to adjust to having social engagements outside of work? Would it be a point of a lot of stress for him, and how would he adjust? How would B feel about being entrusted with the task of helping A, and does he have any ideas of how to help Char A?

Uncomfortable physical connection. I’m not requesting that the characters have much physical interaction since it might be difficult to achieve realistically given Char A’s condition, unless there’s a time skip where he has grown over time or a traumatic event where something happens to Char A and he has to process it. I would rather there be a scene with a lot of drama and fear/repressed feelings coming to the fore rather than a pairing casually touching each other because Char B has gained Char A’s trust and is now magically exempt from all of the hangups Char A has about touch. I would really love a scene where a small touch or act of intimacy/romance happens between them rather than full-on sex without any strings attached. And I would also greatly enjoy a version with a lot of dark elements—dubious or non-consent are acceptable and encouraged if that’s the route you choose to take. In summary for this point: basically, whichever direction you take I want it to be realistic to the situation and to come with all of the weight that would entail!

Sick Fanfic Author/Her Female Rival Who Mails Her Half a Blister Pack of Medicine (F/F) Inspo source

Person 1: Both me and another writer are quite famous within the same circle, we write and produce content at around the same speed. We don’t interact much between each other, but we have a bit of a little rivalry going on. For example if today she published a piece, tomorrow I have to publish one too. I can’t let her take up the trending spot on her own. We each take up half of the trending spots without giving in to each other, so we compete quite passionately against each other in secret.
But these two weeks I scrolled and she didn’t appear, so I checked her profile and realised she was down with a very high fever and had been uncontactable. For a moment the Christmas gift fic had become bland and tasteless.
When I finished reading I was really scared; I immediately used my reader QQ account to ask her what happened and found out that she didn’t manage to snatch medicine in time and had been sick in bed for four days straight. After hearing that, I sent half a box of Ibuprofen and fever reducers to her overnight.*
Now I just hope she’ll get better faster so I can properly and fairly beat her up. The victory of being on top feels hollow when she isn’t here.
And when she was lying in bed I seriously thought it over. I concluded that her prose has too many irrelevant words and complicated sentences. What can be said in ten words she says in more than a hundred, apart from the complicatedness it isn’t that good.
But compared to the others in the fandom, if I had to pick one, I would be more able to accept her. Amen.
* Translator mentioned she also sent the second merch of her favorite characters along with the medicine

Person 2: Hello Bot, have some ibuprofen a reader sent me.
This was what happened: A week before Christmas, a lot of people from my school returned to their home towns. On my way back, I caught COVID and fell sick, and ended up spending the entire Christmas in bed. I was really miserable during that time. I didn’t stock medicine, even the fever meds I had were from begging my maternal grandma’s neighboring village — my family is a little special; I was brought up by my grandma. She’s getting on in years now and I absolutely don’t dare to let her take care of me.
With no one to take care of me and no medicine, the side effects of COVID left me bedridden and half-dead. Even after the fever went down on the third day, my head still felt like it was exploding with pain, like someone was prying it open from my temples all the way to my forehead.
After I felt a bit better, I decided to bury myself in blankets and check my phone to see how popular the fic I posted was, how many comments there were, in order to cheer myself up. I write in a small circle. Even though I’m not as popular as another writer who dribbles in the same circle, I have more comments and a very stable fanbase. Sometimes I manage to get on the rankings too.
There’s a reader who will always leave me meaningful comments on the content of each chapter, and is very good at directly pinpointing what I wanted to convey. So I have a very distinct impression of her, and later exchanged QQs with her.
After exchanging QQs, I found out that she’s very lively and cute, like one of the cats I used to raise. Even through the screen I can feel the lightness behind her words. But she doesn’t use QQ often, and is only online late at night.
Her command of language is very good. I asked her before if she would be open to collabing with me, but she said that she may not have the standards and time to churn out fic, and that the most she can do is some shallow writing.
It was the reader that sent me medicine after hearing I got COVID. When she sent me the parcel number, it had only been half an hour since we talked.
The medicine had a paper note on it, with nice handwriting. Below the note, four tablets of fever medicine had been used and there was still more than half the box of ibuprofen. After I received it I asked her how she would cope without it, and she told me two hours later that she still has new medicine at her house.
And she said that she was too busy these few days and forgot to say happy Christmas, so was a bit embarrassed. And she sent a very cute sticker, carefully asking me if she could still make up for it with a belated Christmas wish.
Actually, when I received the medicine, I was already half recovered. But I still deeply remember her Christmas greeting.
She said happy Christmas, and remembered that after she herself had gotten COVID her throat hurt, so she also gave me a box of lozenges and told me not to forget to eat them. After all, you have to eat sweets during Christmas.
In that moment I really couldn’t reply because I was crying. I was crying so hard that I scared my grandma. Even though I’ve explained many times, she still believes that the “friend” who sent me medicine is definitely a boyfriend that I haven’t told her about.
The story that I want to tell ends here. When I was writing this, she was shopping for CNY goods (across the providence) with me. After her holidays started, she came online more often but still occasionally lost contact sometimes.
During those times, I kept looking at my phone and thinking “If heaven exists, I hope we can meet each other in the future.”
If it doesn’t, I’m willing to write to her forever.

I Didn't Mean to Fall in Love

 - Requesting: Kiritani Yoshino/Nishijima Rou, Sui/Hibiya Niko

Kiritani Yoshino/Nishijima Rou

The age gap, sexual chemistry, and personalities of the main characters are definitely my favorite aspects of this story. There’s a lot to love, and basically all of my favorite things are packed into these two volumes. I can relate to having a secret perverted side, and I love that Yoshino possesses that side even if it never ceases to shock everyone else whenever it comes out, especially when it’s in an environment where you’d expect it! I would love a story where he’s allowed to let his freak flag fly a little higher, and I’m happy that he’s gotten to have some of that with Rou. Speaking of, he’s much more tender and thoughtful than one might expect, and the care he takes toward their relationship is so sweet!!

Some ideas:

He’s mine. Yoshino is often represented as the more shy or submissive of the two, especially when they’re together, and I would love a story that gives him an opportunity to flex his seniority and possessive nature. Sometimes in this sort of story, women mutter behind the main pairing’s back about how hot they are, then the male characters react by feeling insecure or possessive. This mangaka does sometimes subvert expectations, and because that’s one of my favorite things, I’m requesting a story where Yoshino subverts and is the more possessive/aware of their relationship rather than Rou and surprises him by taking the initiative, perhaps by being affectionate in public or outright telling someone else they’re in a relationship. I also think it would be incredibly cute if Yoshino’s fake ring tied into the story somehow, like a third party thinks Yoshino must be engaging in infidelity with Rou when in reality he has always worn that to ward off women.

Let his kink flag fly. Yoshino has only scraped the surface of what his kinky side is capable of, and it’s up to Rou to help foster it once he realizes there’s even more to be discovered. Give me a generous sex toy collection, a carefully curated collection of go-to porn vids labelled inconspicuously on his desktop, and a box shoved underneath the bed with untouched BDSM gear that Yoshino meant to get around to exploring at some point. I would be deeply chuffed by the inclusion of any of my listed smut likes in a story and a scene where Rou comes home late to find a completely plastered Yoshino in the middle of doing something deeply scandalous in their living room/bedroom. I’d love Rou as a service top who’s willing to go outside his comfort zone to pleasure Yoshino.

Convergence of Yoshino’s work and personal life. I think it’d be super funny if Yoshino’s coworkers, who have always known him as being happily married, somehow meet Rou and slowly piece together that he’s a little too close to him. Outsider POV is not something I have historically read, but I feel like I could be converted into a fan. Either way, I really like it when characters are forced into uncomfortable situations and have to decide either to lie or fess up. It’s my favorite when the tension finally culminates in a public love confession; but it could be just as dramatic and satisfying for them to have differing expectations of how much the public should know and having to have a thoughtful discussion about what they want out of the relationship in the future.

Sui/Hibiya Niko 

Pink hair, a character who has fallen in love at first sight vs. the oblivious object of his affections, and a tsundere! Niko is everything to me and I’m absolutely thrilled by the prospect that we might be getting a spin-off series with him and Sui. Every scene where they’re in a room together, you can clearly see how badly Sui is crushing on Niko and how much Niko’s pretending to ignore it. There’s nothing more delicious than a character who’s trying to ignore their feelings because they don’t want to be hurt again despite how much it hurts the other party to yearn and have no outlet for those feelings.

Some ideas:

He turned down my confession?! I feel like this dynamic has a very clear and direct next step, which is a love confession from Sui that goes disastrously wrong when Niko politely turns him down because he’s just coming out of a bad relationship and doesn’t want to jump right into something else so soon. Maybe Sui’s determined to keep trying despite the initial rejection and Niko eventually concedes to starting out as “just friends,” which definitely always goes well and never results in things developing into romantic (or sexual) feelings over time. I’m always a slut for things exploding in a passionate one-night stand and having to pick up the pieces afterward, especially when one half of the relationship is not emotionally available (Niko) and exists to cause extra drama and distress for the hopeless romantic trying his best (Sui).

Will he, or won’t he? Similar to the first, but what if Sui gives Niko too much space and never makes his feelings clear because he doesn’t want to hurt Niko’s feelings? It would be fun to have Niko shouldering the burden of leading their relationship and going through a lot of mental and emotional turmoil as he realizes his feelings for Sui. What if the realization comes with a lot of guilt and self-hatred because he doesn’t have any faith that he even knows how to have a healthy relationship and is afraid that he’ll fail? That he’s holding back because he doesn’t want to get hurt again—yet, in doing that, it makes him feel like a bad person for keeping Sui at an arm’s length? What if there’s a moment where he’s alone with Sui and the mood is right to come into his feelings, but instead of dropping his guard, he pushes Sui away instead? It’s delicious drama!!! And there could be celebratory make-up sex as a reward at the end!!

Don’t come after dark. As far as I know, Niko’s only visited the cafe during the day so far, but it would be fun to see what his reaction would be to the gay bar at night. I think there’s a lot of potential to include the same elements as the previous prompt but folded in with all of the sexual tension that comes with being aware of Sui’s connection to such a lurid place and the frustration of not participating even if he wants to. We’ve already had this in canon, but I wouldn’t mind a repeat of one person keeping the other from going to the “second room” for a hookup. (Not that I think Niko would do that, but it’d be fun to see Sui step in to keep him from going because he doesn’t want Niko to go with anyone else.) I really like the idea of Sui giving Niko carefully crafted drinks with special meanings and drinks that aren’t on the menu. I like Niko staying until closing and Sui helping him upstairs to sleep in the extra bed. I love the idea of misunderstanding where Niko thinks something happened between them where in reality nothing did and he’s actually disappointed. Or maybe Sui groped him a little then went off to masturbate about it on his own after tucking him in and can only feel supreme guilt about it. That dissonance between them both wanting it but not acting on it is so delicious!

The Handsome Salesman at My Office is My Ideal Master

- Requesting: Hajime Yanase/Haru Mitani

Yanase is EXACTLY the kind of character I love following from a POV standpoint. It’s very much giving grumpy/sunshine dynamic to me, and it’s executed so well with the way Yanase thinks so poorly of himself. It’s actually such a big pleasure of mine to see a character put themselves down and wonder, “Mitani is so great, why does he choose to hang around me, of all people?” without ever piecing together that it’s because he’s actually pretty great. I looove love love the scenes where he’s completely doused in pleasure and loses all inhibitions aside from hunger for Mitani’s dick. That contrast in his character is one of my favorite things because it creates such dissonance between his two personas (And I LOVE a character with a secret side!)

In contrast, holy hell, Mitani is just the salve Yanase needs for his burns. He’s so patient toward Yanase and brings out his adorable side, which is such a treat. I’m so amused by moments where he’s soft with Yanase and teases his blushing side out of him in public. It’s not even that smutty, but Yanase blushes so much that it’s difficult not to get the feeling that you’re seeing something intimate! I love when Mitani’s dom side peeks out a little and there’s an immediate switch in the way Yanase reacts. (Potential for some semi-public or public sex there?!) Even seeing how they interact at work is so cute.

Some ideas:

“Come to my rescue, Yanase.” Mitani asks Yanase to help bail him out of a date or some other engagement with a rival romantic interest who has been borderline sexually harassing him. Or really any situation where Mitani is getting unwanted flirtatious attention from someone and is getting sick of it enough to want his actual partner to take the initiative to do something about it. Especially because Yanase isn’t the type, I think it would be fun to create an environment where he’s challenged to act out of his comfort zone and winds up doing really well. Any time a character is forced to be uncomfortable or honest about something they’re resistant to admitting is one of my favorite tropes. Mitani is always the one initiating things in their relationship and sometimes leveraging his dom nature along the way, and I would love to see a situation where he uses that against Yanase to get him to do something really hot that winds up with him being rewarded with absolutely filthy sex.

Bad sex or dom drop. I like when things go too far—when there’s blood, or too much pain, or crying, or an unintentional fallout in communication that cuts the sex off before anyone’s orgasmed and they have to confront a lot of guilt and fear about being uncomfortably vulnerable. I like long aftercare, but I also like under-negotiated sex that winds up leaving both parties feeling awful. I understand why canon didn’t end up that way at all, but I’d be especially interested in a story where something goes wrong and Mitani especially is forced to confront a lot of terrible feelings. (Yanase seems inclined toward those sorts of moods already, so I feel like it’d hit even harder coming from Mitani). Even if it’s not super dramatic, I’d love to read a story about Mitani doing something that feels really, instinctively bad but not wanting to stop because Yanase seems like he’s having fun then having to sit with the memory of that experience for days afterward. Maybe it haunts him and brings him to tears but he doesn’t want to tell Yanase because he doesn’t want him to worry. I would love to see how Yanase could be put in a situation where he has to comfort Mitani (role reversal!) and assure him that everything will be okay. Maybe the next time they have sex, there’s a lot of attention put toward they both get the proper aftercare, or even instating a safe word for both sides so Mitani doesn’t feel like he has to push himself too far for Yanase’s sake.

Possessive Mitani with clothing kink. (This is one of my biggest kinks right now so it might as well get its own prompt). I think it’d be really cute/hot if Mitani started gifting Yanase more than anal plugs to wear to work. Like having Yanase wear upscaled outfits rather than the usual dress shirt and puffy coat. Any time Mitani gets a bonus or raise at work, he invests in more pieces for Yanase to wear, until there comes a point where his wardrobe is basically “Mitani’s” (in the sense that Mitani has chosen all of the pieces himself). Not really dollification (although I wouldn’t be against it leaning that route), but Mitani starts really having fun figuring out what he can dress Yanase up in next as a physical representation of Yanase being his. I really like the idea of Yanase being resistant to it at first, supremely embarrassed and worried that the clothing will get dirty because then it will cost so much for them to be cleaned or repaired. The natural response is, of course, to behave and not get them dirty then or he’ll get punished. I like the idea of Mitani getting a huge hard-on whenever he sees Yanase in the office with luxury brands and really pretty clothes that accentuate his small waist, beautiful thighs, etc. And all of the different elements of clothing kink and possession that could meld together into good fodder for fucking Yanase with his eyes whenever they’re in a room together. I love vests, leather, fancy shoes and jackets, etc, etc. and how the new wardrobe could be implemented in sex scenes, too.

Guide on How to Fail at Online Dating

- Requesting: Jing Huan/Xiang Huaizhi

This story gripped me from the very beginning and I honestly had more fun when they weren’t together versus when they were, but maybe that’s because I seriously enjoyed Jing Huan’s acting as Xiao Tianjing stirring up shit in the server and finding so many countless opportunities to make Yearning For come to his rescue. Xiang Huaizhi is so fucking unexpectedly charming and sweet, and I especially loved their in-person relationship in the beginning when they were playing basketball together and there were hints of his attraction to his junior. I actually found that dynamic to be the most charming out of all stages or versions of their relationship, especially when Jing Huan is so genuinely sweet and wanting to help his senior with whatever he needs. Once their relationship became established, the way Xiang Huaizhi spoils his boyfriend is seriously adorable and I hope that never changes.

I think of the supporting cast, Lu Hang was absolutely my favorite. Jing Huan’s friends—Lu Wenhao and Gao Zixiang—were fine, but Lu Hang was always polite to Jing Huan when he acted as Xiao Tianjing and wasn’t teased or abused by Xiang Huaizhi to the extent that Jing Huan’s friends were by him. I really liked that he did just feel basically like a bro to me and was down for whatever to help his friends but still possessed some of the respect that I would have liked to see more for Lu Wenhao and Gao Zixiang.

Some ideas:

Jing Huan (Xiao Tianjing) is a scary fighter. Throughout the story, there were references to Jing Huan’s past experiences as a gamer and how he had been at the top of the leaderboard in the old server he used to play in. I would have loved to read more about that experience and also Idle Pavilion discovering this. Now that Jing Huan’s true identity has been revealed, what if he decided to re-spec Xiao Tianjing or start a new character in the server to feel that same rush again? I think it’s cute how JH (aka Jing Huan) and XH (Xiang Huaizhi) complete each other’s dailies now that they’re together, so maybe JH takes it as an opportunity to take back the throne and become a DPS king again.

And they were both tops/subverting the usual dynamic. I have nothing against Xiang Huaizhi being a dedicated top, but I do prefer dynamics where there’s more nuance there and top/bottom dynamics that are separate from dominant/submissive. As in, a top with a big dick who has a fun time being told what to do and how to use said dick, or a bottom who doesn’t lie down and let it happen but leads the sex because he knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. I want a Xiang Huaizhi who is coming to the realization that he’s been a horny mess for Jing Huan for far longer than he thought and a Jing Huan who uses that to his advantage to get exactly what he wants out of the experience (such as getting into some under-negotiated kink that neither would otherwise expect). I basically just want something that transcends the usual binary of top and bottom (Or “1 and 0” from the translation). It might even be fun to see how others would react to hearing that Jing Huan isn’t some cutesy bottom who whimpers during sex. I would even go so far as to request the opposite, where maybe Xiang Huaizhi gets off on being emasculated and encourages Jing Huan to take a lead in the bedroom because he likes it when friends are surprised to hear that he’s the one taking it up the ass (somehow, that feels more perverted than semi-public sex)!

Isn’t it weird that he still talks like that? I think it’d be really cute if post-canon, Jing Huan doesn’t see a point to changing the way he plays Xiao Tianjing despite people knowing that he’s a boy. I’m always down to fuck with gender stuff, and I don’t think he wants to be a girl, but everyone should be allowed to be as cutesy as they want! I would especially enjoy if it Yearning For doesn’t care (or maybe he even kinks out on it a little and finds the praise ink especially endearing now that JH doesn’t use a voice changer). In FACT, phone sex over voice chat while completing dailies or whatever have you is completely welcome and desired. I’d love this in dialog or chat or whatever you deem acceptable, but I really really liked reading Xiao Tianjing’s dialog with all the cute kaomojis and tildes and hearts etc.

Let them have sex. This was one story where any sex scenes were fade to black and I’m really hungering for some explicit scenes. Vanilla is fun—but so is phone sex, shower sex, drunk sex, or (dear lord) cockwarming with Jing Huan on Xiang Huaizhi’s lap while completing dailies or instances, etc. and having to keep his voice down while XH is in a voice call with the rest of the team. It’s a huge pleasure of mine to have characters fucking each other while playing co-op games together or dirty talk threatening to do those sorts of things. I’d like filling in missing scenes from canon or something exploring what their sex might look like post-established relationship. I do also love switchy dynamics or characters who get off on things other than anal sex; it’s really up to the vibe and what you think suits them best.

Dungeon Meshi

- Requesting: Mithrun/Thistle

I was one of many people who first got interested in Dungeon Meshi after seeing pictures of Mithrun. When I actually read the story, though, I loved every bit of it. The mixture of serious and humorous, found family, the worldbuilding, the characters!! OH, the characters! Laios, Chilchuck, Marcille, Senshi!! I loved every one of them. Kabru, playing 4D chess with Laios as he eats the pieces. Mithrun, whose power only isn't OP because he's directionally challenged. If I had to say, I think my favorite moments in the story were Senshi's backstory (so heart-touching and features some of the storyteller's creative thinking!), Chilchuck realizing as he spoke with the Orc woman how much he cared for his team, and those beginning levels when Kabru's team kept dying and Laios et al. kept taking their food. Overall, it was very satisfying to see how the pieces slowly fell into place as more people became aware of Laios's position as next dungeon lord. Especially as events continued to prove those hypotheses to be true, too. For favorite Thistle moments, I think the (not- bondage, apparently,) scene with Laios and that time Laios's party found him standing on a table were pretty good. I love when he grimaces! Mithrun's must be that one time he smirked when revealing his teleportation ability. Any time he's showing emotion, being a badass, or eating are great moments, no notes.

I'm incredibly interested in the dynamic between these characters. While they've both been dungeon lords, practically nothing else about them is alike—Mithrun comes from a noble family and grew up surrounded by other elves while Thistle was likely kidnapped or enslaved before being gifted to the king. Also, I'm deeply interested in Thistle's relationship with gender and class considering he is a brown elf who, while accepted by the rest of the castle, is in a position of subservience to the king (and tall-men, no less, whose relationship to gender isn't as liberal as it seems to be in the elven kingdom). I was reading some analysis about Thistle that really intrigued me. Things like how he stands his ground against authority, even if it's Delgal, but will bend when it's something he cares about. How he never fully trusted the Winged Lion but certainly used its power to grant Delgal's wishes. Delgal was the only one he had a close relationship with. In some ways, it's similar to Marcille's experience as she was aging—nobody else around Thistle compared to his age, and Delgal was the only one who comprehended his actual age.

On the Mithrun side, ugh, where do I even begin?! (His looks, obviously!) But seriously, again, I hadn't considered it too deeply before, but I read someone's post which mentioned the varied levels of care he's had since nearly dying to the demon. There was his older brother's caretakers who did a good enough job, but it wasn't until Milsiril visited him that he improved enough to return to service with the Canaries. It must have been incredibly difficult to be cared for by Cithis and the others who also tend to pick on him and infantilize him (a feeling I'm sure Thistle can relate to). When I considered that, I felt a little more bad for him. Kabru was probably the first time he'd been looked after properly without being treated childlishly in the same breath. I think his magical capabilities are hot, and even with the disability, he is still very handsome. (By elf standards, perhaps they're used to much prettier, but even so!!) I think it's not only his poor sense of direction but loss of depth perception that makes his teleportation ability so unpredictable.

I absolutely would kink out on age difference, power imbalance, dub/non-con, etc., anything you have to throw my way in terms of what a romantic or sexual relationship might look like between these two, whether there’s deeper feelings there or it’s just to satisfy a carnal desire that one of them possesses. I’m also deeply all for an asexual character who has sex for reasons other than experiencing pleasure, whether that’s an escape from things that trouble them, transactional, or because the other wants to and the asexual character is indifferent or even down to do it to satisfy that want. All the better if some discomfort is discovered along the way and how the pairing handles it.

Some ideas: (Surprise, they're all post-canon)

Thistle with loss of desire. I think even if Thistle didn't get his desires back, he'd be a very animated person, as evidenced by his reaction to seeing Delgal when he woke back up from being defeated. I also think he would put up a fight and be a difficult person to work with. Even if he liked Mithrun, he'd probably still be a bit of a brat. That does make me wonder also if he would act like a tsundere if he had a crush?! In a post-canon world where Thistle doesn't get his desires back, it would be interesting if both he and Mithrun stayed in Merini (Laios's country). What if Mithrun wanted to help in his own little small way to make sure nobody ever suffered like he suffered by providing Yaad and the others some help in dealing with Thistle? How would Thistle react?

Mithrun helps Thistle keep some of his desires. Canon divergent fic where Laios doesn't eat the demon's desire but instead takes it to Mithrun, saying he thinks he needs it more. Now that the demon has been defeated and Mithrun doesn't want it to eat him anymore (as was revealed to be his true desire), Mithrun has begun to heal and decides to extend that gratitude further to Thistle. Do they split the desires? Does Thistle take it all? How does Thistle come to terms with the fact that someone acted out of the kindness of their heart to help him, and does he feel normal about it? (Considering how codependent his friendship with Delgal was in the past, I wouldn't mind if he was a little crazy about it!) Thistle wants to get to the bottom of Mithrun's reasoning behind helping him. Maybe feelings develop along the way. Maybe opportunities arise for Thistle to prove himself to Mithrun-- or maybe being a good guy isn't as easy as he expected.

Imprisoned Thistle. I’m interested by the idea of Thistle being imprisoned in the Central North Continent with the other Canaries now that their role is being dissolved along with the end of dungeons. Building upon the last idea where Mithrun feeds him some desire, it'd be fun if Thistle develops a deep desire to see Mithrun again and raises all kinds of hell only to return to Merini with no idea what he wants next. Or, even more interestingly, if Thistle's desire wasn't to see Mithrun but something else altogether. (Perhaps of a romantic or platonic flavor? What if Thistle’s remaining desire is companionship or to be loved, and on a subconscious level he thinks Mithrun can satisfy that want?) What if Mithrun comes to visit him in the elven kingdom, too? What would that look and feel like?

Mithrun and Thistle against the world. Literally anything with them both being conscripted into the others' community, whether that's both being Canaries or living in Merini. I think it would be fun if Thistle gets assigned to Mithrun's unit (even though... Mithrun was saying he was going to retire. Maybe Laios helps pull some strings and Thistle ends up staying with him on the island post-canon as its own sort of punishment. Past demon lords gotta stick together, right?).
